Father of four Stuart Gair coaches his son's Griffith Black and White u14 rugby league side and has bent over backwards to support his daughter's Barrellan and District Netball u14 team's bid to qualify for division two of the state age championships.

Mr Gair's name was thrown in the ring when Barrellan netball coach, Peta Argus, heard about the Philips Father's Day Grooming Pack worth $1000 and Rebel Sports voucher worth $5000, for doing what Mr Gair does best.

Mrs Argus said Mr Gair should be commended for committing himself as passionately to Ruby's netball as he does Tom's rugby league.

"Just recently he drove the bus with 16 girls to the three-day state age championships tournament," Mrs Argus said.

"It was the first time Ruby's team had made it into division two and he took leave to help us out.

"By the end of the carnival everyone was quite emotional, and he was the only male on the trip, but he made everything so easy.

"He's been to carnivals, he helps with the barbecues, gives motivational speeches, he collects fund raising to get the girls off to their competitions, he does everything he can."

Mrs Argus said the nominee had a particularly stressful job that often demanded plenty of attention, but he has recognised his kids' sport as a great opportunity to spend time with his family.
