Principal Daniel Tuohey said 14 students from St Peter’s competed in the event and while none of them progressed to the next round individually, their relay team would compete in the PP5 relay in Leeton next week.
“The PP5 relay is for any schools with under 54 kids,” Mr Tuohey said.
“Last year, our PP5 relay team went to Sydney to swim at Homebush.
“They got to swim in an Olympic pool.
“We can’t hope to compete with St Patrick’s with their 400 students, but this is an opportunity for our students to compete against schools of their own size.”
Congratulations to Sarah Graham, James Buchanan, Luke Foster and Lachlan Fattore for making the St Peter’s PP5 relay team.
Parental and teacher assistance, along with the cooperation of the pool complex staff and the Griffith Swimming Club, led to the overall success of the day
