IT’S been described as Griffith’s version of School Spectacular, only on a smaller scale. By all accounts, what KROP (Kids Rapt on Performing) lacks in size it makes up for in star quality.

KROP is a creative and performing arts extravaganza giving more than 500 students from Riverina public schools an opportunity to shine on stage.
With a host of new schools joining the line-up this year KROP co-ordinator Lisa Brown said the “huge production” was shaping up to be another top event.
“I’m happy to say it is looking really good,” she said.
“We have lots of new schools this year, which is nice.
Word is spreading and other districts are now keen to get involved.
“In total we’ve got 21 public schools from all around the region. It showcases the best that public education has to offer. We’ve got everything from singing and dancing to drama and bands.”
The colourful show, set down for Thursday, August 2 and Friday, August 3 will close Public Education Week celebrations this year in Griffith.
“The schools have all been working hard on their acts right from the start of this year until now,” Ms Brown said.
“We have two weeks left so we are just putting finishing touches on everything.”
Schools involved include Lake Cargelligo Public School, Wade and Griffith High, East, Griffith and North Public Schools, Binya, Kalinda, Young and Murrumbarah Public School.
