We look forward to being able to provide regular updates on the Griffith Base Hospital redevelopment. The main works construction contract, which includes the clinical services building, is anticipated to be awarded early 2022 with the building expected to be operational by 2025.
We have partnered with Dementia Australia and Griffith Aged Support Services to deliver three days of information sessions in March.
We are extremely excited to be able to upskill the community, in particular, carers on Alzheimer's disease and dementia which remain in the top three leading causes of death in the Murrumbidgee and Australia along with coronary heart disease and stroke.
We are hopeful of being able to undertake some additional projects this year which will align with our agreed local priorities. These will be set at our first meeting in February.
We are seeking relevant and insightful guest speakers to educate us at our monthly meetings.
These talks promote discussion and ideas about how we can keep our community informed and, the important role that we play in the connection, community feedback and engagement process between our hospital and the community.
If you are an individual or an organisation that would like to partner with us on our health journey, please make contact.
