Coming onboard as the owner operator in the 90's, Mr Elliott is one of only a handful owners who have carefully handed off the legacy of Danny's since it first opened in the 1950's.
When Mr Elliott took the reins, he was told he would be lucky to last five years.
He ended up lasting an impressive 25.
According to Mr Elliott, good customer service was the key to his success.
"The only way to run a business is service, service, service," Mr Elliott said.
"Make contact, smile, learn your regular customers names these are all crucial to success."
Whilst the store mainly sells hot food it has evolved over the years selling everyday essential groceries and items, now also delivering hot food to worksites to save workers travelling in on their lunch breaks.
"We have a predominantly tradies market, we can get upwards of 500 people coming in and out every single day," Mr Elliott said.
Even on Christmas Day and public holidays the store has not shut one day in the last 25 years.
"On Christmas especially we get a lot of people coming through who don't have anyone and just want a meal to share and someone to chat to," Mr Elliott said.
