After December 10's restocking event, the lake was filled with Murray Cod just in time for Summer. Many eager families have returned to the lake to enjoy some summer fishing trips, with catches possible all across the lake.
Tom Armstrong, the man responsible for the triumphant return, said he was thrilled with the response.
"What's happened is pretty overwhelming. I'm over the moon, to be honest," he said.
"It's better than just me, it's been really good to see smiles on faces again ... It may be only a fish, but for some people in this town, it means a lot."
The fish are widespread throughout the lake, meaning families can have some confidence in a catch or two whether they're out on a boat or on the shore.

"Fish are being caught in the right areas. People are catching them right across the lake, so they've really spread out ... The biggest one caught so far is about 78cm, I know someone who got about three in an hour," Mr Armstrong added.
He's got big plans following the success of the initial stock, now looking at making the event an annual celebration of the lake and the community surrounding it.
"It's a step in the right direction for fishing, and to bringing the lake back for sure. The proof is in the pudding."
