Getting rapid antigen tests dropped in the mailbox, running errands, delivering groceries or just being a friendly voice to speak with for some company over the phone, these volunteers are doing everything they can to support those who need it most.
NDIS Support Worker Trish Leonard helped start the group and says the group served two purposes.
"We have both sides of the coin here, volunteers signing up to connect and help those in isolation with whatever they need and then those reaching out for some additional help whilst stuck at home," Ms Leonard said.
"There are people in the community who are COVID positive, those who have to isolate due to being close contacts and then those who are choosing to remain at home because they are immunocompromised, elderly and more vulnerable to COVID-19."
According to Ms Leonard, whilst the group had only recently been launched, she hoped the volunteer base would help ease the strain on existing support services which have been stretched paper thin for the past 18 months.
"All other state, federal or private support services are just inundated with calls from people in need as the cases have continued to rise and more and more people have been left at home to isolate," Ms Leonard said.
"It really is such a ripple effect."

Ms Leonard noted the group was especially there for those who had no one else to rely on for additional help whilst at home.
"Often we have family and friends to rely on but many don't want to burden or always rely on the same people to help them.
"And not everyone has family and friends around them, those living alone are especially doing it tough.
"I just want to make it clear that there is no need for people to feel embarrassed and ashamed, volunteers are here to help not just those who are sick or disabled but also those everyday people who are feeling isolated and stuck.
"Everyone is welcome to reach out both as a volunteer and as someone needing a helping hand."
