Thirty-eight Ferals chose that option and were delighted (not) with the steep climb up Dom's Dilemma on a warm and humid afternoon.
The three kilometre short course attracted 16 Ferals plus two visitors.
In the long course, the 12-minute group were the first back followed by the 14-minuters. Six of the 10-minuters were next with the surprise inclusion of junior Feral Chloe Morshead running off zero.
The 10-minuters overtook Morshead walking the final leg of the run. She then accelerated, passing the pack, before steadying herself and crossing the line with the group.
It was only when the results were pinned that it was discovered that Morshead was a long course runner.
The short course welcomed the Vecchio family and Peggy Carpenter back after a festive season break. Emma Munro was back after a six-month break.

The Feral committee met on Monday January 10. There were three applications for membership during December.
Hannah and Ellie Quinn and Nicole Clarke were formally accepted as new Ferals.

- Use the QR code system for checking into a run
- Face masks are optional with the club providing face mask and sanitiser
- Recommend that Ferals who are close contacts refrain from attending weekly runs for the duration of the quarantine period.
