Around 40 large trees were knocked to the ground by the strong winds and hail, tearing through the grounds and causing notable damage to the fairways along the course. The clubhouse and pro shop also suffered from flooding, with an estimated $20,000 in flood damages to the buildings.
Wayne Moat, the manager of the club, said that the not-for-profit club had held a working bee to try and address some of the damage, but there was a long way to go.
"We had a working bee yesterday, we had 30-odd members come in to help out. Obviously they're at work now though, it's all just staff now."
"We'll have to get professional people in, there's a lot of clean up."
Mr Moat added that the storm had been the worst they'd seen in decades.
"We've had other storms, but we had players come in and say that this is the worst storm even they'd seen in about 50 or 70 years as far as damage goes," he said.
"It was like a tornado just tore through that whole part of it."

"We're investigating disaster relief, it's Crown land so we've touched base with them and they've come out and taken photos and seen it."
Fixing the grounds will involve removal of fallen trees, first and foremost. Mr Moat added that while stumps still embedded will remain, many will be dug out and filled in.
Finally, the course itself is currently filled with dirt, rocks and sediment from the flood waters which will need to be cleaned before play can resume.
At this stage, the club will open next Saturday, January 15. Mr Moat said that they might be able to open on Wednesday, but they had decided that it was best to be safe and make sure that the grounds were safe, fully clean and secure before opening up.
