The program was launched by the NSW Government to assist women living across rural and regional NSW achieve their goals and take up leadership development opportunities.
Founder and Managing Director of Future Women Helen McCabe said there was 'a lot to learn' from women who live in the bush and 'vice versa'.
"This scholarship is about actively encouraging women from outside major cities to connect, learn and lead," Mrs McCabe said.
In 2021, hundreds of regional women across a broad spectrum of industries such as science, agriculture, food and health applied for one of just 24 individual scholarships in the program.
Minister for Women Bronnie Taylor said the program would help boost the leadership opportunities and potential of those living in the country.
"I am also sure women in our cities will realise what amazing work our country women can achieve and how working together can make a difference for everyone, whether you're based in Bondi or Bourke," Mrs Taylor said.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW Paul Toole echoed this sentiment, saying that regional women were the 'lifeblood' of rural communities.
"They are the ones who keep us connected at the same time they are working and raising a family," Mr Toole said.
"I urge any eligible women who wants to boost her leadership potential and who has a burning desire to help other women in their goals apply."
