The Griffith man won the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot on December 23, but didn't realise until he checked his ticket on Boxing Day.

"I've always said I could count the number of things I've won in my life on one hand and still have fingers left over - but maybe my luck has changed!"

The winner is already planning what to do with his prize money and said he couldn't wait to tell his children and grandchildren.
"This prize is going to make my kids and my grandkids very happy," he said.
"We're going to put some of it on the home loan and then we're going to take the family on a holiday."
The grandfather also won a $2000 consolation prize in addition to the super jackpot.
His winning entry of 10 consecutive numbers was purchased at News & Gifts on Banna in Griffith.
