A Year 6 student at Yenda Public School, Kade has been growing his hair out since the start of the year.
Originally, he planned to grow it out and donate it to be made into a wig, but with such curly hair the growing time took longer than expected so he made the decision to shave it all off completely.
Classroom Teacher Rachel Kirkman said the entire school community was behind Kades charitable efforts.
"Kade decided on the Cancer Council because it is a good cause and he wants to help find a cure for cancer," Mrs Kirkman said.
"We are all incredibly proud of Kade for taking part in this initiative!"

The 'cut the curls' campaign raised just over $1400 in total, $710 of that being raised from the generous donations of the 110 students and their families at Yenda Public.
Kades mum Angela said that the total raised was well beyond initial expectations.
"He ended up raising way more than we initially expected, almost tripling our starting fundraising goal," Mrs Vearing said.
"I am so proud of him, the school community was all very supportive of his campaign."
