Griffith's pre-polls and postal votes have come in now as well, bringing the number of first preference votes considered to 12,510.
Doug Curran has now definitively secured a seat, with his impressive first preference votes pushing him well over the needed quota of 815 votes. All other candidates remain under the line, hanging out for second preferences.
Jenny Ellis, an ungrouped candidate, currently sits just over the halfway point and is equal second to securing a seat but says that she's not counting her chickens just yet.
"I'll still need those second preferences," she said.
"I suppose looking at the numbers, there's a little bit of confidence but in the past, there's people who got 400 first preference votes and haven't got in ... and then others get in on preferences. I'm cautious not to count my chickens before they're hatched, we won't know until December 17," Ms Ellis explained.

She said she was relieved to enjoy a few quieter days after a busy campaigning period, getting back to her life.
"Yeah, that was a lot of work for those weeks. As a first-time runner, it's a bit daunting having your face around town. That's something I found difficult, so it's nice to have those down," she said.
At 3pm on December 8 - 12,510 votes have been counted with 9779 being considered formal and correct. This gives Griffith an informal vote rate of over 20 per cent, significantly over the 5 per cent average across Australia.
Curran, Napoli and Sutton's tickets are all over the 1000 vote mark, along with the ungrouped candidates as a collective.
