Sultan Hobbies is the upcoming new store on Banna Avenue, selling games, puzzles, miniatures and model kits alongside providing services such as 3D printing and communal tables.
It's the brainchild of Jarrod Salton, who is just 20 years old.
Mr Salton said he was inspired to bring games and miniatures to Griffith after realising that there were many isolated groups who were interested, but had no way of connecting with each other.
"There's a lot of isolated groups of nerds, a lot of small groups that don't know each other."
"I first wanted to do stuff at the community centre, maybe host a few days where people could come and try new games or learn something new and that we could sell a few things. It was when I talked to distributors and they said we needed a brick-and-mortar store that things upscaled very quickly," he explained.
Mr Salton added that Sultan Hobbies is hoping to provide a space for the experienced in that community, as well as help people trying to pick up something new.
"Variety is the name of the game," he explained.
"We have a bunch of general tables where people can play, and we'll be doing classes and tournaments ... Now that D&D is a little more mainstream, there's less of those barriers. We can get anyone in to have a go."
"I want to help people get better at it. What I'm hoping is that people can come and try, and they'll find that they're really into it."

He added that there were definite plans to offer different services like individual trading cards or in the future, but he was focusing on getting the foundations right first.
Starting a business from scratch is not a one-person task, and Mr Salton said that his parents, partner and friends had been crucial in getting things ready.
"Both of my parents, my girlfriend Hailey, and my friend John have been helping a lot. My parents have been making furniture out of pallets, Hailey did the design for the store ... I'm very grateful."
The store is getting ready for a launch on December 18, in order to catch a boost from the Christmas period. While he's confident, Mr Salton admitted that there's definitely things he's nervous about.
"My one concern is of people's expectations. Some of the stores down Banna Avenue have been there for decades, they're established ... Starting young, I don't have as much capital, it's not going to be as snazzy," he explained.
"We're focusing on product and variety. The slatwall shelving some other shops have is a lot of money. If the worst happens and we fail, we can move product. We can't move shelving."
Sultan Hobbies will open on December 18, at 4/431 Banna Avenue.
