A staple on the community calender, the event sees participants walk, ride or run eight kilometres from Jubilee oval to the Lake Wyangan Picnic Area and has raised upwards of $50,000 for the local charity in previous years.
In 2020, the event saw over 1000 individual registrations, a number committee members are keen to see double, especially after the 2021 event had to be cancelled due to ongoing coronavirus concerns.
Can Assist Griffith President Olga Forner said that the partnership with City2lake was of 'great value' to the cancer patients in the local community.
"We really are looking forward to the tremendous show of support for Can Assist, it will be wonderful to see the community have a great time for a good cause," Mrs Forner said.
Costs associated with the work Can Assist Griffith range from between $160,000 and $200,00 per year and that is just with the current database of clients.

City2lake committee member Cheryle Wood said the event would make a 'substantial impact' on the work of Can Assist Griffith.
"All of the money raises stays local and helps cancer patients on their treatment journeys," Mrs Wood said.
"Events like City2lake help keeps CanAssist Griffith going, it is crucial that they have the financial ability to continue the good work that they do."
The City2Lake committee is currently looking for sponsors for the event. There are a number of sponsorship packages available. If you or your business is interested please contact Cheryl Wood on 0409 082 217.
"We really are just encouraging everyone in the community no matter what your fitness level is to take part," Mrs Wood said.
"The more the merrier!"
