Joining forces, both Griffith City Council and Griffith Rotary Club have brought together two much loved festive events to properly welcome in the festive season.
Griffith Rotary Club President David Hammond said the club was looking forward to the night and seeing the community come together after the event had to be cancelled last year.
"We are so please to be able to bring back this popular event in 2021," Mr Hammond said.
"This is an event for the entire family to enjoy, we have live entertainment, face painting, jumping castle, sausage sizzle, ice cream, fairy floss, coffee and the all important chocolate wheel where you can purchase tickets to win a Christmas ham and other fantastic prizes."
Santa will also be making a special appearance directly from the North Pole, his only appearance until Christmas Day and will assist Griffith City Mayor John Dal Broi in turning on the Christmas Lights from 7.45pm.
"With more lights being installed in Banna Avenue and throughout Memorial park, we wanted to use the opportunity to promote local businesses and community activities," Councillor Dal Broi said.
"Griffith will be bigger and brighter than ever this Christmas, and we are encouraging local residents to enter the Christmas Light and Merry Mailbox Competition."

By entering, members of the community will be able to see where Christmas lights are located in Griffith, creating a festive map to follow.
But the fun doesn't end there!
On Saturday, Banna Avenue businesses will moved their wares out onto the streets and take part in a sidewalk sale!
"More than 20 businesses have registered to bring the shopping to the street, with plenty of bargains to kickstart your Christmas shopping," Griffith City Council's economic development director Shireen Donaldson said.
"Keep an eye out for the Star Business sticker and enter the draw with your purchase - winners can take home a $500 voucher or one of five $100 vouchers to spend at a Star Business of your choosing."
Attendees to the Glow2680 launch and Griffith Rotary Christmas Carnival will be required to check in on arrival and show their vaccination status.
NSW COVID-19 regulations state events are only open to those who are double vaccinated, with unvaccinated children under 16 accompanied by an adult who is double vaccinated.

Festivities will kick off on Friday from 5.30pm at Griffith Memorial Park.
