In its third year, all proceeds go towards financially supporting breast cancer sufferers in Griffith and surrounding suburbs with costs associated with their treatment, travel and and more.
Just recently, the group raised $60,000 for a new machine at Griffith Base Hospital that allows for surgeons to more accurately target the breast cancer during surgery, using breast seed localisation as opposed to the method of guide-wire to locate the cancer.
Assistant Secretary of the Griffith Breast Cancer Support Group Deanna Marriott said the auction was in collaboration with the Happy Scrappers, members of which had donated items to be auctioned off.
"The beauty of this auction is that all money raised will go directly to supporting local breast cancer patients," Mrs Marriott said.
"Whatever items members of the Happy Scrappers donate, they front the cost in terms of the materials and time spent making and putting together the item."
