With the first two having to be abandoned due to the COVID restrictions, the season is now dealing with the intervention of the weather gods for the third straight week.
It was an easy decision for the GDCA board, with rain falling almost constantly from Wednesday night until Saturday morning when the sun made it's first appearance in a couple of days.
Across the three days, there was 39.2mm officially recorded across Griffith meaning with the rain that had already fallen in recent weeks, which sees November's total sitting well above the monthly average, the fields were once again waterlogged.
First and third grade were called off at lunchtime on Friday while there was hopes of potentially moving second grade to synthetic pitches, however, the constant rain on Friday saw all cricket called off by Friday night.

The split points from the weekend now means that Diggers have moved level with Hanwood at the top of the table, with Hanwood having the bye while Exies Eagles have leapfrogged Leagues into fifth spot.
Cricketers across the area will be hoping the predicted sunny week will come to fruition.
