It was a nail-biter under lights, but Hanwood were able to keep their perfect start to the season alive with a two-wicket win over Coro Cougars on Saturday.

The Cougars won the toss and elected to bat with Brent Lawrence and Jake Rand able to get their side to 24 after four overs before some trouble hit.
Luke Docherty picked up the wickets of Rand (10) and Haydn Pascoe (0) in the same over, while Lawrence (6) fell a couple of overs later to Angus Bartter (1/14).
Tim Rand and Ben Signor tried to get their side moving in the right direction but were only able to add nine runs before Todd Argus (1/13) removed Rand (4) to see the Cougars sitting at 4/47 after 13 overs.
Signor and Matt Axtill were the next pairing to try and steer Coro out of danger and were able to have some success.
The fifth wicket pairing was able to put on 38 runs before trouble struck against when Gulfam Ahmed (1/20) picked up the wicket of Axtil (12).
Tom Shannon then dismissed Ben Signor (25) while Rob Rand became Docherty's third victim of the afternoon.
Wickets continued to tumble, with Docherty (4/23) dismissing Thomas Camm (5) while Shannon picked up his second with the stumping of Shane Hutchinson.

Alex Flood (20) added some late runs before being bowled by Shannon (3/27) as the Cougars were bowled out for 119.
The Hanwood openers in Shannon and Oliver Bartter were able to continue their good record of strong starts to get their side to 58 before Shannon (19) was caught off the bowling of Flood (1/25).
Bartter continued to keep the score ticking over as he posted fifty as Dean Catanzariti played the supporting role in a 47-run partnership.
Trouble struck when Coro introduced the slow bowlers, with Catanzariti (7) falling to Lawrence while Bartter (50) and Charlie Cunial were both dismissed by Hutchinson.
When Jordan Whitworth (3) was run out, and Docherty (5) became Hutchinson's (3/19) third victim, it looked like Hanwood could be in a bit of trouble at 6/105.
Lawrence (3/15) picked up the wickets of Angus Bartter (5) and Argus (3) before Pardeep Deol (5*) and Ahmed (2*) got their side over the line with 7.1 overs remaining.
