It was a special moment for the Duncan family on Saturday as the late George Duncan was remembered at the Griffith Carnival of Cups.

The race was taken out by a massive 12.2m by Dorothys River trained by Ronny Calleja from Albury.
Duncan had been a popular figure around the Griffith Harness Racing community right up until his final days and contributed so much to the club over his lifetime, including the upkeep of the lights, which continue to be looked after by George Duncan Electrical.
Son, Michael Duncan, was on hand to present the winners of the race with their winnings in what was a special moment for him.

"It will be two years in 10 days since he passed away, and it has been challenging times, but his memory will live on," he said.
"Harness racing and footy were his two biggest loves, so for the Harness racing club to do it in his honour is great."
It was a big night of racing at Dalton Park, which saw Ellen Bartley take out her second Griffith Cup in a row.
