Mr Andreazza was born and bred in Griffith, and has been a councillor since 2019. He says that while he doesn't have many big projects planned, his goals for council are to increase approachability.

"I just want to see Griffith thrive, and help everybody adapt after the pandemic ... I want to be there for the people," he explained.

"I'd like to explore and address the housing crisis - that can bring in workers and specialists but we need to start with houses."

Mr Bianchini agreed.

"I want to see the progression of Griffith and improve the facilities, particularly the lake," he added.

Both were keen to revamp Lake Wyangan, adding that they would like to see the return of paddle boats and the canteen that used to be there.

"That area is really expanding and developing, we have to encourage that," Mr Andreazza said.

Mr Bianchini explained that his previous work as a council employee gave him experience in navigating the system of local politics, and put him in a good position to listen to the community.

"I've got knowledge of the community's wants and needs, and I can focus on that ... people put trust in me to represent them, I want to do that."

Mr Andreazza was close to not running earlier this year, and said that the COVID-related delays had meant he was able to devote the time to council.

"Back in October, there was lots to do on the farm and I was busy teaching my kid, but the delays meant a lot of that's done now and I can put the time in," he explained.

"I'm very pleased to be able to run again."

The pair reiterated that if they're elected, they will be pushing for a community-led and proactive council.

Mr Andreazza said "Nothing's too big or small - if I can help in some way, I will."

"I want Griffith to thrive not just for my children, but for the benefit of all the children."
