The new rules mean that the freedoms that were scheduled to commence December 1^st for fully vaccinated resident have been brought forward to November 8^th.

However for those who are choosing not to be vaccinated or are still waiting on their second jab, freedoms for unvaccinated residents have been pushed back until December 15^th, or until 95 percent of the over 16 population in NSW is fully vaccinated.

Owner of Fox and Co Hair Salon Richard Brewer called the move 'frustrating' and 'unfair'.

"One of the biggest things for us is that people don't look at rules bought on by government, they look at us thinking they are our rules when in fact we just can't afford not to follow them," Mr Brewer said.

"I have had to turn away clients I have known for over 20 years, I feel horrible having to do this."

According to Mr Brewer, the change was difficult for both the customers and the business.

"The original restrictions and date were fair but it's not good to push this back once again, we are already under enough pressure as it is reorganise our businesses with staff unable to work because of their choice not to be vaccinated.

"With the regions opening up it is also inevitable that COVID will reach us in Griffith so this further delay just makes no sense."

Manager of Belvedere Pizzeria & Ristorante Maria Khan said that it was important to the business that they would remain shut to dine in customers until everyone can dine together, vaxxed or unvaxxed.

"It is very important to us that everyone should be able to dine together, we want participation for everyone in the community," Ms Khan said.

"We aren't happy about the change to the roadmap, it's usually the busiest time of the year for us so hopefully we can start the new year fresh and open to everyone."

All is not lost however, with some businesses operating will full staff and substantial customers.

Limone Dining Supervisor Imogen Cooper said business had been and was expected to remain 'very much the same'.

"We've continued to pick up trade quite well after lockdown and with these ongoing restrictions," Miss Cooper said.

"The change in rules really has made no difference to us."

Reflections Mind Body Spirit Beautician Sofia Sergi said some adjustments to some bookings was required but it was otherwise business as usual.

"We are still pretty busy which is very good," Miss Sergi said.

"Reflections has only had to adjust a couple of clients appointments with the changes to the roadmap, but its nice to be back doing what we love and seeing the clients that we can."

General Manager at Griffith City Council Brett Stonestreet said that Council would continue to follow the directives under the NSW Health order for access to facilities and events.

"As changes are made, Council will adjust plans accordingly," Mr Stonestreet said.
