The festival, encompassing weeks of art and performance, focusing primarily on the creation of a series of murals across Banna Lane. Artists from Griffith, around Australia and the world flock to the street to create art.
The most recent festival featured artists George Rose, Reubszz, Allan Mackenzie Senior and Man.De.
Carrah Lymer, the festival's creator, said that first shot was given to local and first nations artists.
"We like to try and give local and first nations artists priority," she said.
She added that while local art was crucial, it was nice to have international attention as well.
"We tend to encourage local people and across Australia to apply but we also get international applicants which is interesting ... The fact they know about our little festival, it's pretty cool that they're aware of us and want to join."
Applications for artists will be open until the end of the month, before the organising committee begins the next stage of putting together the festival.

"Once we close the applications, we pair artists to sites depending on which walls we have access to. We want to be wary so we have a mix of different styles, so we consider the size and location and what's currently there," Ms Lymer explained.
"It depends on the experience of the artist as well. It's about having that level of experience to get it done within the festival timeline."
Artists can't work without a canvas though, so the festival is currently seeking available walls. Requirements for a wall to host a mural include few windows or pipes on the main area, safety and accessibility for the artists, as well as power and a tap nearby.
The festival is also currently open to applications and expressions of interest for potential vendors, sponsors and performance artists, especially for the pop-up area. They're also keen to get started on putting together the 'Lighting up the Lane' element of the festival.
Information for artists and others is available on the Banna Lane Festival website.
