The Griffith RSL sub-branch have been hard at work ensuring that the traditional yearly service at the Cenotaph in Memorial Park on Banna Avenue is COVID-19 safe, following extensive consultations with both the Murrumbidgee Police and Griffith City Council.
In 2020, the service was cancelled due to restrictions around public gatherings, making it unfeasible for the small but dedicated Remembrance Day Committee to pull off.

Griffith RSL sub-branch member Terry Walsh invited all members of the community to attend the service and commemorate the loss of Australian lives from all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
"Remembrance Day will go ahead as planned," Mr Walsh said.
"We have no capacity limit and are full steam ahead."
The service will commence at 10:40am on Thursday.
QR Code check in will be provided at the entrance from Banna Avenue and all attendees are required to be double vaccinated in line with the Public Health Orders.
For those unable to attend, the sub-branch encouraged residents to remember the nation's servicemen and women with a minutes silence for reflection at some point on the day.
