Tournament Director and President of the Griffith Veteran Golfers Association, Rob Trembath, said players who travel to Vets Tournaments right across NSW heaped praise on the course.
"This is a great tribute to the Griffith Golf Club, its two groundsmen and team of volunteers who maintain the course in pristine condition," he said.
Mr Trembath said it was great the Tournament was able to be held again after COVID forced the cancellation of the 2020 event.
The Griffith Vets with the assistance of Women's Golf Griffith and the Griffith Golf Club, were able to host a COVID-SAFE 2021Tournament over four days in ideal weather conditions.
Although the player numbers were lower than usual due to restrictions on regional travel, the participants played great golf, enjoyed the hospitality of locals and the visits to Griffith attractions on the rest day.
The Tournament included three days of stableford competition, with prizes awarded over three grades for each day as well as for 36 and 54 hole events and a Club Teams competition.
