Currently, just over 84 per cent of Griffith is fully vaccinated while the greater Murrumbidgee area has just over 77 per cent full vaccinated. In the Murrumbidgee LGA, 90.5 per cent of eligible residents have received one vaccination dose.
The Murrumbidgee Local Health District has been responding to a series of concerns, notably a positive detection of COVID-19 in Leeton sewerage earlier in the month. The test was conducted on October 18 with the positive result returning on October 22, however no further positive tests have been recorded.
Leeton is close behind in vaccination numbers, recording 94.5 per cent of the population receiving a first dose and 75 per cent fully vaccinated.

Jill Ludford, the MLHD chief executive, noted that many children in the LGA are not vaccinated, but are not included in the statistics that only count those over 15.
"I urge people to look at the vaccination rates as well as the case numbers, as we move from an unvaccinated community to one with vaccination ... I think it's important to understand that during the outbreak, we've had very little hospitalisation," she added.
"Nevertheless, we are dealing with a COVID outbreak and the majority of cases we're seeing are under the age of 19 years."
Ms Ludford said that the MLHD would be hoping to hold a 'Super Schools' week in the near future to promote the vaccines among school-aged children.

A recent outbreak in Albury has been the primary concern for the MLHD, with 40 of 45 cases being recorded in the Albury LGA. In lighter news for Albury though, they currently lead the state in numbers of fully vaccinated adults with 88.3 per cent having received both doses.
Another three cases were residents of Greater Hume, while Wagga Wagga and Berrigan had one case each.
Since the start of the most recent outbreak, Griffith has seen just one case of COVID-19. The case was successfully isolated and contained.
The MLHD emphasised the importance of monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms and continuing to get tested, even after fully vaccinated.
