The news will not doubt bring a giddy sense of joy to many who have gone with seeing family, friends or just a holiday away for almost six months.
From November 15, Regional Express Airlines (Rex) will increase its current flight capacity and reinstate suspended services on key NSW regional routes.
Currently, the airline is operating limited flights via both Griffith and Narrandera Leeton Airports but will resume daily services in the weeks to come.
Rex Deputy Chairman John Sharp AM said additional services would be progressively added as demand for travel returned in the weeks and months ahead.
"Our commitment to remote and regional NSW communities has never been stronger and we are delighted we can no help even more family and friends reconnect and allow Christmas holidays to be booked with confidence," Mr Sharp said.
"The resumption of flights will also provide a much needed boost to local economies, stimulate regional tourism and help businesses ravaged by the pandemic to recover more quickly."

As a special 'welcome back', the airline is also offering a festive sale, with $99 fares and no black outs available until November 14th for travel up to April 30 next year.
"Rex's decision not to blackout school holidays is unprecedented and I would urge travelers to book without delay as these sale fares will be snapped up," Mr Sharp said.
"I have no doubt our competitors will rush to copy our ground breaking initiative."
And for those still concerned about potentially last minute travel cancellations or changes due to COVID-19 restrictions or border closures, all bookings are protected by a Refund Guarantee policy, a policy unique to Rex.
EastWest Airlines is also set to resume its twice weekly Melbourne service from mid November from Griffith Regional Airport, whilst Qantas Link has begun to open up a variety of flights for the weeks and months ahead.
