Eliza Star running off a 12-minute handicap for all 7 long course Arsova runs put in her strongest performance yet and grabbed 1st place (25minutes 23 seconds).
Both Harry and James Morshead took increased handicaps in their stride and finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. Sheila Marcus was 4th and Chris Morshead (dad) was 5th.
There have been some calls for a stewards inquiry into the Morshead clan. Harry's performances have ranged from 39th to 2nd, James from 44th to 1st and Chris 56th to 1st. What is Kate feeding them? They are all finishing this competition with strong performances.
Long course point scores: - Harry Morshead now leads with 160 points overtaking Jeremy Woodhouse who has slipped back to 3rd with 151 points.
Hamish Gunn remains in 2nd place with 159 points. James Morshead is 4th with 147 points and Chris is 5th with 146 points. Salmon with 144 points is slipping off the menu.
Gunn has been the most consistent performer throughout this competition with only 22 second between his best and least best net time. Harry reduced his net time by 30 seconds which may come to the attention of the handicapper, this could see Gunn clinch the trophy.
In race 7 of the short course Lynsey Pasin returned to 1st place (18 minutes neat ), Drew Braithwaite was second (17 minutes 02 seconds) and last week's winner Jai Kenny was 3rd. The short course competition leaders have been the same for all 7 Arsova runs.
