The owner had driven to Willow Park just after midnight on Monday night, when a male came past and the two spoke. He allowed the man to get in the car, and believing the passenger to be asleep, he left the vehicle to use a nearby bathroom.
After hearing the vehicle start up, he turned to see it vanishing. The thief is described as Caucasian and approximately 40 years of age.
Just over 24 hours later, a white panel van was stolen from the rear loading dock of a Banna Avenue supermarket but the two crimes are not thought to be related.
