Aptly titled, 'A Portrait of Australia: Stories through the lens of Australian Geographic' the travelling exhibition features stunning large format photographs of those from the bush, the beaches and our red centre.
Griffith Regional Art Gallery Coordinator Raymond Wholohan said it was very exciting to host the interpretive storytelling experience.
"This is a beautiful exhibition and we are so pleased to be able to host it in Griffith," Mr Wholohan said.
"Australian Geographic is famous for its photography and these are beautiful high quality prints that everyone will enjoy."
Selected and curated by the National Museum of Australia from the Australian Geographic archive, the exhibition has travelled nationwide to 12 other regional and city art galleries and will make Griffith it's home until November 7.

National Museum director, Dr Mathew Trinca said it was a wonderful experience for regional art galleries to host the travelling exhibition.
"This is a marvelous opportunity to take Australian stories to venues around the country by combining the National Museum's exhibition and curatorial expertise with Australian Geographic's 30 years of unparalleled photographic coverage of Australia's land, nature and people," Dr Trinca said.
"Featuring photographs from the Australian Geographic archive, it will transport you to some of the most rugged and remote parts of the country where you will discover the most remarkable stories of ordinary Australians."
Australian Geographic's Editor in Chief, Chrissie Goldrick said it was a thrill to partner with the National Museum of Australia and tell 'authentically Australian stories'.
"These beautifully presented exhibitions transform our words and pictures into a truly immersive experience," Mrs Goldrick said.
