The community will receive a fair share of the estimated one million doses that has recently arrived on our shores, with 1800 pharmacies and 4500 general practices across the nation now to offer Moderna alongside AstraZeneca and Pfizer.
Federal health minister Greg Hunt said that the arrival of Moderna was another great step towards improving vaccine accessibility for all Australians.
"My hope is that everybody who has not yet taken the vaccine will come forward over the coming days and weeks and there's is sufficient vaccine for every Australian before the end of October, if not slightly earlier," Mr Hunt said.
Vaccinating pharmacist at Amcal Pharmacy, Leanne Foley said the arrival of Moderna would open up more of the community to vaccination.
"We will have a lot of Moderna in stock arriving regularly so there will be no problem with supply and booking appointments," Mrs Foley said.
"It is definently a gamechanger."
Chemist Warehouse pharmacist Rakhee Rathi said she expected there to be a high amount of demand once the stock arrived early next month.
"Getting vaccinated is very important, and the arrival of the Moderna vaccine opens up another option for those who are hesitant about AstraZeneca and unable to access Pfizer."

Thy Ly, a pharmacist at East Griffith Pharmacy shared this sentiment, telling The Area News that she expected many people in the local community would step forward now for vaccination due to the additional choice of vaccines on offer.
"Moderna gives younger people especially more of a choice about vaccination, and will hopefully alleviate some of the demand we have seen with Pfizer," Miss Ly said.
"There is no need to wait, just ring up and book, there are so many choices now to choose from when getting your COVID-19 vaccinations."
According to the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network, only pharmacies in Griffith will be offering Moderna. However Pfizer and AstraZeneca will still be available at general practices.
Corrine Webb, Practice Manager of Kookora Surgery said that there was still plenty of Pfizer available.
"We have had a number of cancellations especially in the next week so give us call or book online to get vaccinated," Mrs Webb said.
