Despite Lynsey Pasin's handicap been increased by 2m45s she managed again to take line honours in the short course with a blistering time of 17m57s which was 20s faster than last week, as a result she maintains her lead in the competition.
Ruby Kenny was 2nd and set the course record for female runners with a time of 17m07s. Nate Mingay was 3rd and set the course record for males 13m28s. Mingay is also the most consistent performer in the short course competition.
The long course saw a complete new set of faces on the podium. Natalie Schmitzer jumped from 21st last week to 1st this week. Karin Penninga leaped from 23rd to 2nd this week and Digby Jones gave the short course a mis and was 3rd in the long course.
A combination of the top ten placings from last week receiving an increased handicap and a significant number of Feral's increasing their net time by more than a minute and a half in part explains the reshuffling at the top end.
Rodney Savage and Lena Sergi jointly hold a 1-point lead over Hamish Gunn and Natalie Schmitzer in the long course competition.
The consistency award in the long course is shared by John Dodd 34m28s this week and last week and Keith Riley 32m56s for both weeks. Mark Andreazza was a close 3rd in the consistency stakes running a second slower than last week.
