The organisation provides specialist support for parents of newborns to three year olds who are experiencing challenges ranging from feeding or settling to post natal depression and anxiety through extended consultations, short and longer term therapeutic interventions and parenting group programs.
After being announced in June, Griffith is now four communities in the MLHD who will have access to Tresillian support services, following Wagga, Cootamundra and more recently Deniliquin where the service is being delivered by telehealth.
According to MLHD Manager of Integrated Child and Family Wellbeing, Nicole Myers, Tresillian's evidence based services will be on offer via both telehealth and in person at the new day care centre.
"The new facility in Griffith is going to mean local families will have the support of early intervention without the extra stress of having to travel as they adjust to having a new baby in their mix," Ms Myers said.
"Offering telehealth as well will make these services much easier to access for new parents in surrounding areas.
That's important if you are out on a property near Hillston with a newborn baby, given the emotional and financial challenges that come with travelling and spending time away from home."

For every onboarding child and their family, the support provided will be tailored made to best suit their individual needs and may include an initial three hour consultation at the newly announced Griffith day care centre.
They will then receive extensive follow up care through telehealth consultations and visits to their regular child and family health nurse, and general practitioners.
Ms Myers said that that child and family nurses or general practitioners will make referrals directly to Tresillian when parents need more intensive support for specific issues, but they will remain key supports who can help to implement new strategies and techniques.
"It's a partnership where we are all working together and trying to make things as easy as possible for our families," Ms Myers said.
Currently, recruitment for a Nurse Unit Manager for the new Griffith service is underway, with details of when the new service will open to be announced shortly.
Any parents who would like to self refer can call Tresillian's Parent's Help Line on 1300 272 736.
