The group has been focusing on providing support to vulnerable young people and their families, partnering with Rapid Relief Team Australia to identify and provide support where it's needed. The lockdown has led to some families losing significant income, so providing food and necessities has become a key element of the PCYC's aims.
The clubs are currently closed due to the stay-at-home orders, however youth case managers are continuing to work and providing protection for vulnerable or at-risk young people.

PCYC has said that the stay-at-home orders can hit youth particularly hard.
"The social cost of Covid lockdown is incalculable ... The lockdown is a significant setback, but our resilience has withstood nearly 85 years and, because of you, we will get through this, to help our young people," a statement on their website reads.
At the same time, the PCYC is a charity organisation itself and has been struggling to make up the money needed during lockdown and without the availability of traditional fundraising.
Almost 90 per cent of PCYC's money comes from that traditional fundraising and club activities, but with lockdowns across the state, the charity is appealing for community support through an "Emergency Lockdown Appeal."
