A 42-year-old woman and a 47-year-old man have both been arrested and charged with assault and robbery after a 42-year-old man had his wallet, phone and documentation stolen.
The trio had been out on August 21. They were on Parkinson Crescent in the early morning when things took a turn and the man was assaulted by the two accompanying him.
He was threatened and struck several times with a pole before the woman and other man took his phone.
He was then struck again, leaving him with bruising and a laceration to the head. He fled to a nearby premises to seek help, leaving behind a bag of personal items, car keys and the vehicle itself. Police were contacted and investigated.
The two were arrested and charged with assault, robbery and breaching of public health orders. The victim suffered bruising and minor lacerations but is otherwise okay.
Across town, a group of adolescents were spotted vandalising Scenic Hill with spray paint on Saturday afternoon, leaving a range of tags and debris across the rocks.
It's estimated that between 12 and 16 young people had gathered at the rocks in breach of COVID regulations but left after police were contacted.
