While crime is low, police are keeping busy ensuring compliance with COVID restrictions and pledged to continue enforcing rules as they're put in place.
Acting Inspector Ian Clark said that Griffith has been 'fairly compliant' with the regulations in place.
"We're not getting major issues at the moment. There's the odd thing with face masks but at this point, there's no major breaches like we're seeing in the city," he said.
"We've got new changes with people having to wear face masks all the time outside now. In the early stages, that'll just be an education thing and we'll be reminding people but we will be enforcing that," he added.

The police have been taking advantage of the quiet week to act proactively, checking in on COVID compliance and working on crime prevention rather than response.
This is particularly important after recent lockdowns in Victoria and NSW showed a sharp increase in domestic violence rates and support services getting overloaded with pleas for help.
Acting Inspector Clark said that they were on top of it.
"At this point, we're not seeing any rise in domestic violence but in saying that, we are being very proactive in relation to that," he said.
"We are making sure people are complying with AVO's and with the lack of crime, we're doing a lot of compliance checks in relation to AVO's. It seems to be working, cause we haven't seen any spike."
