IN OTHER NEWS:
The MLHD is requesting anyone who was at the locations of concern during the timeframes to come forward for testing.
The venues of concern include:
- St Mary Pharmacy at Lake Cargelligo between 9.50 am and 9.55 am
- Lake Cargelligo IGA between 9.55 am and 10.05 am
- FISHO'S Hot Bake and Takeaway at Lake Cargelligo between 10.05 am and 10.15 am
- The Shed on Lachlan at Hillston between 11.20 am and 11.50 am.
In a statement, the MLHD said the positive case made brief visits to these stores, but anyone who attended these venues at these times should get tested immediately and isolate until further advice from NSW Health.
"Venues will continue to be assessed by the Public Health Unit to ensure accurate assessment of risk for staff, and to determine if any had close contact with the case," the statement said.
"MLHD is urging anyone who has even the slightest of symptoms in Lake Cargelligo or Hillston to get tested and isolate until a negative result.
"The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, sore throat and dry cough. Symptoms will generally appear 3-4 days after exposure to the virus but can be up to 14 days later."
The MLHD will deploy the mobile COVID Testing Clinic on Saturday and Sunday to these towns to enable anyone who is a close or casual contact, or any community member who is concerned, to come forward to be tested.
No appointment is necessary.
