But after defeating MCUE by a goal in round three, Griffith's form has shown no signs of dropping off and will start favourites to beat Narrandera and Turvey Park before beginning their first finals campaign in some time.

"I don't think we've finished second in a really long time. If you don't go into a game with the belief you have the potential to win, you've already lost," Fuller said.

"You have to believe you have the team (to win) and in finals anything can happen, especially with how tight the comp is at the moment."

The Swans have been quick out of the blocks in games this year, a recipe which continued against the Lions.

"Our starts all year have been pretty strong, that's probably our strength at the moment," Fuller said.
