At a changeover luncheon on Saturday, Joy Norrie handed the chain over to Carmel La Rocca, who will be taking over as the new district chairman for Inner Wheel's district A54.
Ms La Rocca will now help to govern the clubs in Griffith, Leeton, Albury, Wagga, Yenda, Corowa, Wollundry, Narrandera and Yarrawonga Mulwala, organising fundraisers and events for Inner Wheel members across the region.
A new district chairman is selected each year and Ms La Rocca said she was proud to have been chosen to lead the club forward through 2021 and 2022.
"It's a real honour to be taking over and representing the district for a year," she said. "Hopefully I do a good job."

Ms La Rocca has been involved with Inner Wheel in Griffith for about seven years and says ensuring the clubs continue to do the great work they've done will be her big focus over the year.
"We've done a lot of great fundraising over the years for really important causes like cord blood research which have really helped people and improved lives," she said.
"I would really like to see us continue that great work while I am district chairman."
In her final address as district chairman, Mrs Norrie wished Ms La Rocca a successful year and reflected on the challenges of leading the clubs through such a unique year.
"What a 12 months it has been and continues to be," Mrs Norrie said.
"I have visited all clubs across the district and every club was displaying our aims of friendship, personal service and international understanding."
"The meetings were interesting and fun. I have appreciated the warm welcome and friendship of all our members and through necessicity my technology skills have increased."
Mrs Norrie offered her sincere thanks to those who served on her committee for their support and friendship.
