The team is currently sitting comfortably at the top of the ladder with 33 points, seven points ahead of their nearest competitors, Leeton.
South Wagga, meanwhile, is trailing behind in sixth place with 10 points for the season.
Hanwood will be hoping for a repeat of the last time the two teams played against each other, with Hanwood taking a 4-0 victory against South Wagga towards the end of May.
Last week marked the end of a truly impressive 11-match winning streak for Hanwood with a draw against Wagga United, but the team is yet to lose a game this season and it's projected to continue in their match against South Wagga.
Coach Brian Bertolin said that the match was a learning opportunity, but it remains to be seen how well Hanwood has learnt from it.
IN OTHER NEWS;
Bertolin said that "This week will be a matter of getting back on track. Last week, the boys were a little disappointed. We didn't lose, but I think looking back at it... the guys probably want to make things right from last week."
"The general play was good but the execution was a little bit lacking... we're just trying to improve on that."

He added that despite the hefty victory from last time, they wouldn't be underestimating South Wagga for the upcoming match.
"Last time we played, they were pretty good. The scoreline didn't show that but they were really good opposition... We won't be going into the game complacent," he explained.
"We probably dropped our standards a little bit for the last few weeks so you can't just expect to walk onto the field and expect things to happen without working for it."
Hanwood will also be playing without Dem Toreno, who is still recovering from an injury to his hamstring. Joey Schirripa is also away this weekend, but Blake Potts will be returning to add his skills to the team.
The upcoming match will kick off from Hanwood Oval at 3:20pm.
