The woman was driving a Honda Civic down Thorne Road when she was instructed to stop by police. After ignoring the instruction, police activated lights and sirens and the woman fled.
She reached speeds in excess of 170km/h in her attempts to evade police, and continued driving dangerously fast in built-up areas with speed limits of 60km/h.
After narrowly avoiding a collision, the woman turned onto Walla Avenue and onto Erskine Road, where she crossed the intersection into Moses Street, clipped a power pole and collided with a corrugated iron fence.
The woman then fled police on foot, running into a nearby house and into their backyard. Police pursued the woman through several properties before apprehending her.
