A 25 year old female was pulled up for a random breath test on Saturday night, and found to have been drinking after a breathalyser test showed a BAC of 0.102.

"I've had a few, I'm not going to lie to you," she's quoted as saying.

She was also noted to not have displayed P plates on her car, and had her license immediately suspended.

The woman has been given a court attendance notice for later in the month.

Over the weekend, an 18 year old male was arrested after assaulting an officer in an unrelated incident.

Five chickens went missing from Kalinda School on July 29, with opinions divided on whether the chickens were stolen or escaped.

Principal Angela Sampson said that it was impossible for the chickens to have escaped but police said that they were not as sure. Three chickens have since been returned

In other news, a man has been charged after an alleged glassing and been issued with a court date of August 25. The victim has also been issued a fine for breaking COVID restrictions.

The 30-year-old man was arrested after a brawl at a club on July 31, after a 71-year-old man punched him and he retaliated by hitting the man with a glass bottle. The man was taken to Griffith Base Hospital for treatment of a head wound.
