The bags were cut open over the weekend, with an unknown vandal slicing open close to 300 bags and letting several tons of cotton spill onto the ground.
The criminal entered through an open gate and made their way through several paddocks, crossing Kidman Way. The crime happened overnight, at some point between 5pm on Sunday July 1 and 6am the next morning.
While there are currently efforts to salvage the cotton, it's estimated that hiring staff and equipment could cost upwards of $150,000.

If the cotton cannot be salvaged and sold, the crime will represent a loss of $750,000 for Southern Cotton.
This year previously promised to bring one of the biggest intakes in recent memory, coming off the back of a very dry season. CEO of Southern Cotton Kate O'Callaghan said at the time that production had doubled.
Police said that they were adamant in looking for the culprit and encouraged anyone with information on the hit to come forward.
This isn't the first time Southern Cotton has dealt with this crime, after dealing with the vandalism once before at the same property in 2018.
At that time, just over 150 bales were opened. The estimated value behind the crime was $400,000, just over half of the new attack's.
It's not currently known what the motive behind the crime is, or whether the two cases are connected in any way.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Griffith police station at 6969 4299 or Crime Stoppers at 131 444.
