The Griffith side took on so-far undefeated Wagga City on Saturday, and at points looked like they might be pulling off the scalp of the season.
The Blacks led 16-14 at half-time, but a big second half from Wagga City ensured their faultless run continued as they came away with a 16-43 win.

Wagga coach Ben Schreiber said Griffith came quick out of the blocks and "were giving their all in the first 20 to 30 minutes" with momentum which left the usually-unfazed Wagga City side on the back foot.
He said he was pleased with how his side responded to the pressure and secured the win but admitted the Blacks "definitely had their tails up".
The Blacks will have one last chance to prepare for the finals as they take on the Waratahs in Wagga next weekend before their bye in the final round.
