After a triumphant win against Wagga Agricultural College at the Exies Sportsground, the Blacks are preparing for quite the challenge this week in their match against Wagga City who left the side feeling worse for wear back in May.

Currently, Wagga City are on the top of the leader board and are ten points ahead of the Blacks.
In the two months since their last face off however, coach Chris McGregor said that the Blacks had refocused and re tuned their combined skillset on the field to create a more dominant side.
"Our last game against Wagga City was early on in the season and the boys were still coming together as a team so we lost our direction during the gameplay," McGregor said.
According to McGregor, the biggest faux pass in team were working harder, but not necessarily smarter.
"Our last match saw the boys pushing passes that didn't need to be pushed but it was a learning experience and I have every confidence going into this weeks match that we will be a more formidable opponent," McGregor said.
"We have been improving consistently since the beginning of the year so I believe this game will be probably our biggest challenge of the season as it will show us how much we actually have improved and where we stand in the competition right now."
Wagga City Rugby Club will also be celebrating 70 years in the sport this weekend, however McGregor said he wanted to spoil their fun and celebrations and surprise the first grade boys from Wagga with much smarter gameplay from the Blacks.
"It'll be their anniversary so they will be ramped up and ready for a good game of footy," McGregor said.
"But I'm always confident with the side I have so I know we will be smarter, stronger and have more control over the ball to ruin some of their fun."

After four weeks in a row of 'blackouts', meaning that all four Blacks teams in the Southern Inland Rugby Union Competition had won, McGregor said that he hopes to secure a fifth week in Round 16.
"We need to ensure our gameplay is what we know works best for us," he said.
"It's critical that we are structured in our on fields moves and rely on that structure to get us through to game and secure a win."
Big crowds are expected, with a team of 'old boys' also heading over to Wagga to play for a great day of footy.
"The way we have been playing has been improving all the time so I am confident that we can beat them," McGregor said.
