The game was moved on Saturday afternoon by Football Wagga to avoid first grade having another week off due to the inclement weather leaving Rawlings Park unsuitable for play.
Daniel Johnson was able to find the back of the net five times in the second half of the match while the rout was highlighted by a cracking goal from Daniel Rogato.
The winger was left at the top of the box and, after being found by one of his teammates, let fly with a first time shot which found its way into the top corner.
Despite the eventual scoreline, it was the missed opportunities in the first half which left, Hanwood coach Brian Bertolin frustrated.
"The first half was pretty poor," he said.
"Missed a lot of point-blank goals that we should have probably nailed.
"We just got a little bit frustrated with ourselves, but the boys came out in the second half with a much better attitude."

The message from the Hanwood coach was pretty clear at halftime, and it got the desired effect almost immediately.
"We were probably a little bit off the pace, and we were just expecting it to happen," he said.
"We just had to be a bit hungrier, be a bit more intense and play with a bit more speed.
"We did that straight after halftime, and things started to flow for us a bit better."
Bertolin pointed to the performances of James Stockwell and Jordan Austin, but it was Daniel Rogato who really shone in the wintery conditions.
" He was very damaging, and he started to running with the ball and running at people," he said.
" He is very hard to stop when he is in that mood."
The five-goal win against Tumut sees the Hanwood side able to maintain their healthy lead at the top of the table with their 11th straight victory to start the season.
There was a downside to the win with Dem Torino hurting his hamstring while Blake Potts came off in the first half with a knock to the ankle and didn't return.
