It was the Roosters side who started brightly as after running the ball on the last tackle, Adam McCann broke the line before sending Ben Jeffery over while it was two tries in the opening four minutes for the visitors as they scored in their next set when Luke Hogan dived over in the corner.
The Black and Whites were finally able to get themselves into the game, and after deciding to run the ball on the last, Oleni Ngungutau was able to make a 40m break while they took the lead after back to back penalties, and Joey Peato dived over for his first.
Issues were compounded for the Roosters, with Johnathon Walker sent to the sin bin with six minutes left in the first half.
The Panthers made the most of the man advantage early in the second half when Wame Belolevu was able to create a hole with a show-and-go and make his way over next to the post and followed it up with his second soon after.
The Blacks and Whites were then reduced to 12 when Kelvin Simpson was sin-binned for dissent, but it was the Panthers who were able to push their lead out further, with Solo Toru making the most of the field position to see his side leading by 18 points.
Toru scored his second soon after, and then Peato scored from the kicked off as the Black and Whites started to run away with the game as the Roosters defence got tired with only one fit player left on the bench.

The icing was put on the cake when Johnathon Sila was able to make a break straight through the Roosters defence to wrapped up the convincing 36-point victory.
Black and Whites' co-coach Uafu Lavaka was happy with how his side responded to the fast start from the Roosters.
"After the Leeton win, the boys have just been a bit comfortable," he said.
"I was just glad we were able to get the two points."
Outside of the opening four minutes of the game, the Black and Whites defence was able to hold the Roosters at bay which pleased Lavaka.
"That is something that we have been working on at training," he said.
"It has just been about trying to tighten up our middle, and that way they can try to go around us.
"We had a quick chat, myself and Andrew just about holding our standard of playing fast footy and trying to make other clubs play the footy that we like to play."
The win against the Roosters pushes their winning streak out nine games.
