The Yoogali SC side was well into their warm-up for the first-grade clash before they were informed there would be no game for them to take part in on a chilly afternoon.
The frustrations were amplified with the under 23s game going ahead, which resulted in a 1-1 draw before the Canberra-based side boarded the team bus and left the venue.

Rather than dwelling on the situation, Yoogali SC coach Luke Santolin was looking at the bright side.
"There is no question that it's utterly disappointing that we didn't get a game today," he said.
"But it means that we pick up a 3-0 win and come the end of the season, the finals spot could come down to goal difference, and we will get Danny (Roche) and Jacob (Donadel) back from suspensions they were due to serve today."
