Having lost 2-0 to Queanbeyan City, the Yoogali side is sitting in fifth level with Canberra White Eagles, who occupy the final spot inside the top four.
Heading into the clash, coach Luke Santolin is under no illusion as to the importance of this match.
"We can't afford to slip up too many more times because the margin for error has disappeared," he said.
"We always said that we have to beat the teams that are below us and try and pinch a couple of points from those above us if we want to make the top four.
"I won't even need to explain how important this weekend's game is to the boys."
The fight for the top four becomes harder to track because due to White Eagles games with Weston Molonglo being postponed, the White Eagles now have two games in hand over the Griffith side.
Santolin feels that this could almost work in his side's favour.
"They could just watch on and wait for us to slip up," he said.
"Equally, if we pile the pressure on and keep collecting points, then they are going to have a heavy workload to end the season with their catch-up game.
"It makes it interesting, but we just need to focus on ourselves and keep winning and keep picking up points and trust we will be there or thereabouts."

This weekend will see the Griffith side take on Weston Molonglo, who they have a good record against, including two wins this season, but the Yoogali coach hopes complacence isn't setting in.
"We beat White Eagles a few weeks ago, which was such an important game and then drew to Brindabella the week after, which is a team that we have had success against over the years," he said.
"I'd hate to think that my boys are thinking that this is a done deal. It's a mini grand final."
The task will be made a bit harder with leading scorer Danny Roche, and midfielder Jacob Donadel set to miss Saturday's game, having picked up their fourth yellow card of the season against Queanbeyan.
The first-grade game will kick off at 4pm at Solar Mad Stadium.
