The Tirkandi Inaburra Cultural and Development Centre in Coleambally and Enticknap Park Griffith are both recipients of new funding released by the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment.

According to Duty MLC for Murray, Wes Fang, the funding was part of grant money originally valued from $5,000 to $150,000 for Crown Land managers recover from the economic impacts of the novel coronavirus under the Crown land Manager COVID-19 Recovery Support Program.
"The aim of this program is to help Crown land managers recover from the pandemic by funding asset improvements and work, health and safety plans of reserves" Mr Fang said.
Minister for Water, Property and Housing Melinda Pavey said many Crown reserves were forced to temporarily cease operations during COVID which had a significant impact on their visitors, events and income.
"This program will boost the social benefits of crown reserves and support regional economic recovery post COVID while supporting jobs in regional areas" Minister Pavey said.

The Tirkandi Inaburra Cultural and Development Centre were the recipients of $20,659 to install visitor and staff COVID-safe portals and to aid in the purchase of COVID safe personal protective equipment.
"The funding for the Tirkandi Inaburra Cultural and Development Centre will improve hygiene for visitors and staff" Mr Fang said.
Griffith City Council then received a sizeable sum of $150,000 to upgrade the amenities block at Enticknap park, which was only opened in 2019.
